loadUI – Open Source, Cross Platform and Free Load Testing ToolVery often load testing is ignored for small websites. The usual reason is setting up environment and involved costing factors. But, here’s an open source, cross platform and free load testing tool. With an easy to use innovative JavaFX based UI, loadUI is a feature packed tool that supports all standard protocols and technologies. In a single test environment, loadUI provides you a complete test coverage that includes Web Load Testing, Automated Testing, Stress Testing, Integrated Analytics, Reporting and more.

Real Time Testing

Till now, the testing tools required all the tests to be written and then run them till end before updating them. The slick drag-and-drop interface of loadUI allows you to quickly create, configure and redistribute your load tests in real time. All this can be done while your tests are actually running. This allows you an opportunity to understand how your services behave under load and when load changes. The details of each test can be viewed live and compared to previously completed tests.

Ease of Use

The UI allows you to create even the most complex tests simply by dragging components from the Component Toolbar and dropping them onto the Canvas. While tests are running, you can add new components and fine tune the test parameters.

Supported Technologies

With soapUI integration, loadUI supports testing of various technologies an protocols like HTTP, HTTPS, SOAP, REST, AMF, JDBC and JMS. Built to support modularity, the OSGi and Groovy based loadUI core can be easily extended to accommodate any other protocol or testing requirements you might have.

On Cloud

loadUI supports distributed load testing on Amazon EC2 based cloud computing environment. The Agent Apps can be installed on remote machines to distribute the requests. The Agent Apps can be created using simple drag-and-drop. While the distributed tests are running, the new test cases can be added.

On top of so many unique features, it is open source and free application so you can customize and redistribute the code. loadUI is Java based so works on most OS platforms like Windows, Linux and Mac.
